Why you should ditch the usual V-day date to travel with your bae

I get it, its day of love! But a plain date? Isn’t it so cliché?! Why not do something else to express (rather explore) your love and not just spend a few hours on a typical date but a complete day altogether!  I reckon that sure means skipping on your LBD, ladies but the joy of exploring something together and being as wacky and wild in your casuals is something unmatchable. And who knows in the process, you end up taking your relationship to a whole new level with better understanding and love. Well, if you ask me it is awesome to travel with your partner! A whole new bunch of experiences await you, all you need to do is put on your travel shoes (sneakers, loafers whatever), start with a shoefie (shoe selfie is new cute!), play dress up in your casuals, take a water bottle and get ready to roll. Be spontaneous, explore a new place or a market, shop souvenirs for each other, click pictures, laugh, eat and make the best of your day together. Meanwhile, here are some ideas for you that can come handy –

  1. Rent a bike

Start your V-day morning with cycling. Pick a company that offers bike tours in your area and hit the road.  Have breakfast together while coming back and get your day started with your special one.

2. Go for a hike

Hiking is great fun for nature lovers. Just hit a nature trail and capture wilderness till the end of the day. Even better, make your first camping foray into the woods. Real adventure, isn’t it?!

  1. Be local backpackers for a day

Go sightseeing your city and the places you never been to. Go to an art gallery, food festival or visit a fort to soak up some history. Click pictures and make your own postcards.

  1. Learn something new together

Pick an activity that you like, say dance, and learn it together. Many professionals offer short courses (3 to 5 days) to take lessons in dance or photography.

  1. Get adventurous

If you are adventure junkies, then try bungee jumping, rock climbing, rafting, boating or sky diving. No limit to that right!

  1. Get on a mystery trip

Get into your car and drive into nowhere, yes! Just go on a long drive and explore places or eateries that come in the way. Don’t forget to take your smartphone in case you lost your way back home!

  1. Recreate a memory

Go to the place you first met or dated. It is beautiful to go down the memory lane together and let them unwind one by one. Make it more memorable by having a tattoo together or pick souvenirs for each other while shopping.

  1. Try new restaurant/cuisine

Pick a bunch of restaurant and cuisine that you have never tried before. Start with a main course at one restaurant and wind up with dessert at another one. Try a new cuisine and maybe you end up having a new favorite.

  1. Stargazing

Another old-school way to end your day but it sure is romantic as hell. You can explore constellations through a telescope (for more professional take) or just lay down for hours under the starry sky.

  1. Do a ghost tour

If you are one wacky duo into supernatural stuff, then go for a haunted tour nearby. Google a bit if you plan to go by yourself or take a guided tour to one of such haunted houses. Weird and fun, take my word.
